Right after my class on Friday, I flew to Thailand for the weekend to see my mom before she left for the states. She had came to Thailand to visit her mom as well as to see me off to Singapore safely (she denies this, but I know that she worries. Love you Mom!). That evening I went out with my mom and her friends to Thailand’s Chinatown (Yao Warat) for some delicious Pork Blood and Kway Cheup! Man do I miss Thai food!

In the morning we made way to the rural parts of Thailand: Wang Nam Keaow. It was a great escape from the city and a grand opportunity to see the farmlands in Thailand. At Wang Nam Keaow, we went to a mushroom farm where we had the opportunity to see how mushrooms are cultivated. In addition to that we went up to Pah Gep Tawon. There we enjoyed amazing views of the valley and pretended to launch rocks with the slingshots as we posed for the camera.

With a few hours left in Thailand, my mom, her friends and I decided to visit the Montana Farm. There we saw and petted many sheep. Though the sheep were fenced in, it did not stop a lot of them from hopping over the fence.
Before I bring this post to a close I would like to extend my gratitude to my loving mother and her friends. Her friends are amazing people and I am very grateful to have them in my life!
